The stories from my old library about the rare (and just out-of-print) collection-building do sound a bit Indiana Jones-ish. And people think librarians are boring -- they have NO IDEA!

Thanks for the feedback! Who knows what'll happen with this idea; I'm still poking at it with sticks, so it may start reacting and turn into a Big Idea.

This is interesting.

I'm actually fascinated by the idea that you might explode this into a full-sized novel. Kind of a Club Dumas/Harry Dresden book, only with less gloomery and more hot librarians.

I had a friend that worked for Rare Book Acquisitions at the University of Texas, Austin library. This was a fascinating job; he was like some kind of spy/thief, but for books.
