GLEE!

Right as I was about to leave for my birthday dinner with six fantastic friends (at Prairie Moon in Evanston — a really great restaurant and even better for hanging out with friends), an email popped into my inbox. I’ve sold my first short story to Allegory.  “The Accidental Mime” will be in volume 7, set to go live on September 1st. So that squeeing sound you all heard at about 7:10p CDT?  Yeah. That was me.

Little Updates

I’ve been working on the beginning of La Cause, trying to find my way into the story. I’ve stepped back to the outline again, and it’s at last let me past the first roadblock. My stories seem to wander down cul de sacs and get turned around, and it can be very hard to find where the wrong turning took place. It may be that the turn just was made too soon and there are no wrong parts, just things in the wrong [...]
