I woke up this morning to find out my flash short, “Beata Beatrix,” has been accepted by Electric Velocipede. This is my first sale that will appear in print rather than in pixels. It will be published at some point next year.

At last, at last, I have sold my second short story!

The Town Drunk has accepted “Troll Local 157″ (a story of which I am inordinately fond) for publication, actual date of publication unknown at this time.

Right as I was about to leave for my birthday dinner with six fantastic friends (at Prairie Moon in Evanston — a really great restaurant and even better for hanging out with friends), an email popped into my inbox.

I’ve sold my first short story to Allegory. “The Accidental Mime” will be in volume 7, set to go live on September 1st.

So that squeeing sound you all heard at about 7:10p CDT? Yeah. That was me.
